I’m originally from Plymouth, and after spending time living in slightly larger places from London to Tokyo, I moved to Froxfield with my Partner Estelle in 2016.
I’m currently the Head of Instrumentation and Engineering (Design Authority), and Head of the Thermal and Radiometric Metrology Department, at the National Physical Laboratory in Teddington, London.
Prior to working at NPL I worked mainly as a Nuclear Engineer with the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority, Edf and the Ministry of Defence with some ‘sabbaticals’ as a travel writer and instrumentation engineer. I studied Physics at Exeter (BSc) and Surrey (PhD).
