Final stage in the construction of Foxfield’s water meadow nature reserve is set to take place during the week of May 17th – 22nd.
Martin Gibson from Action for River Kennet (Ark) and his team will be onsite earlier in the week laying the foundations for the boardwalk.
They will be levelling some areas of the route with a digger, and laying sleepers onto which will rest longer sturdy struts.
Some 700 composite boards have been pre-drilled in readiness to attach to the framework.
This is where a volunteer ‘army’ comes in!
To help out, you will need to bring your own power screwdriver or drill with screwdriver attachment.
