THANKS RECEIVED FROM WILTSHIRE POLICE

The Wiltshire Police have written to PC Chair Cllr Pat Adams to thank her and the village for the support it gave them during the sad aftermath of the tragic accident which took the life of farmer John Savage, in July. Pat was able to open the memorial hall for the police and emergency teams assisting at the farm, so they could use the conveniences and rehydrate themselves on what was one of the hottest days of the summer.

"It was this that made our lives and work a lot more comfortable. I cannot tell you how grateful we all were for you doing this. On behalf of my colleagues and I, we would also like to extend our thanks to your neighbours, all of whom pulled together to assist us in our enquiries at what was, and no doubt continues to be, a difficult time. you all showed a great community spirit, which is not something we always see."

FROXFIELD PARISH COUNCIL

THE NEXT MEETING OF THE FROXFIELD PARISH COUNCIL WILL BE ON WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 8TH AT 7.30PM, AT THE MEMORIAL HALL.

There will be a 30 minute pre-meeting where any villagers are welcome to come and discuss issues that may have arisen since the last meeting and which they would like to have put on the agenda for this meeting. This is an opportunity to meet and talk with your local parish councillors before the main meeting gets underway.
The meetings are completely open to all to attend. However, any open discussion is restricted to the Public Forum at the end of the meeting.

High-Speed Broadband Engineering Works

High speed broadband orders are being accepted by BT now, and should also be open to other providers. Some households have been experiencing difficulties connecting with the new faster system following the village-wide engineering works.

BT OPENREACH ENGINEERS HAVE IDENTIFIED AN ISSUE AT THE EXCHANGE WHICH HAS NOW BEEN FIXED. ALL THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN CONNECTED FOR NEW BROADBAND SHOULD NOW BE ON-LINE.

If you are still experiencing difficulties, please contact Cllr Les Thompson lesthomson@gmail.com who is in touch with the BT Broadband Project Manager.

Froxfield Parish Council's defibrillator is now fully certified and on the outside of the Froxfield Memorial Hall.
See the full certificate under this website's NEWS section.
